LW Gilson was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and attended the Waldorf school of Baltimore through her early educational years. She then went on to attend Alfred University School of Art and Design in Alfred, NY, and completed her Bachelor's of Fine Arts May 2013. Currenty living in baltimore, Lauren has continued her creative research exploring topics such as habit, nostalgia, gender, and material poetics with a commitment to material re-use and repurposing.
